We have again had some downtime on ejabberd, and I cannot find anything in the logs. Sadly this is happening when I am on easter vacation so it took some time before I noticed the problem. Should the problem occur again then I would love an SMS sendt to +47 932 42 123 and then I can start it up again. When I get back to work I will investigate the problem further.

Yesterday we switched ISP and had about 15 minutes downtime. Lets hope the new internet connection is as stable as the old one ๐
I have got a message in the online chat room from a user reporting problems registering on the PyICQt transport. If anyone could confirm this and maybe give me an error that would be nice. I myselft have not experienced this problem.
This morning I restarted Ejabberd because it had stopped. I have examied the log files to find out what happened but it seems that the jabber service just died suddenly. Happily all seems to work as it should ๐
It has been a few quiet days not, at least here, but that is because of the fact that I actually have a dayjob too ๐ But at least I got time last night to upgrade the PyICQ-t transport to the latest version. Hope this resolves issues if any!
Also I can inform that towards the end of the month we will change IP addresses and we will then have some downtime. Will get back to this when we decide on aรยรย time to do this.
We had some downtime because of a bad cable that lost connection while doing a little service work in the server room. We appologice for problems caused by this.
The server stalled this morning because of a very warm server room. The aircondition stopped working because of snow and ice inside the external unit that caused the fan to get stuck. We have now fixed this problem and I hope that the cooling should start up again. In the meantime we open the doors!! ๐
The MSN transport was upgraded to 0.11a today after the svn version went into a loop this morning. Nice opportunity, and so we are back on the stable series.รยรย ๐
This morning I got a mail from the XMPP.net mailinglist informing that jabber.org has upgraded its server to use ejabberd. So far they have been using the stable version ofรยรย jabberd but since they have not had a release in a long time, ejabberd har gone far beyond in functionality. Even if jabberd has a 2.0 development project many has migrated to ejabberd, just like we did on Jabber Norway around a year ago ๐
We congratulate jabber.org with the upgrade, and ejabberd for getting their software onto the largest jabber server on the Internet!
Now we have got a trusted SSL certificate for the HTTPS and TLS negotiation of the Jabber service and the web page. The certificates was donated from Steve Waite at GeoTrust, thank you very much ๐
What this means to you users is that we no longer get a self-signed certificate error in web browsers or Jabber clients and a higher grade of security. Especially Psi I know had this message, and I have now tested with the new certificate and it is in the trusted CA list of Psi.
